Uniform
Why do we have uniform?
Uniform is a great leveller and it reduces peer pressure at school for the latest fashionable clothes and helps children feel settled and prepared for school. Uniform creates identity and is useful on trips and visits outside of school. People will often contact the school to compliment the children’s behaviour and our good manners. We are proud of our uniform and the true sense of belonging that comes with it.
Where do I buy the uniform
School uniform can be purchased direct from School Uniform Direct, who are based at Unit 5 Mitcham Industrial Estate, Streatham Road, Mitcham, CR4 2AP or via the internet at School Uniform Direct

Cost of Living
Uniform can be costly for parents/carers. We try very hard to keep the costs down for our families by allowing more high street options such as supermarket plimsolls, shirts, trousers, skirts, t-shirts and joggers. The only item of clothing that we would like to see the school logo is on the child's sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan.
We hold regular second hand uniform sales every half term, where good quality uniform can be purchased cheaply.
If you are struggling to purchase school uniform, please speak to one of our staff.
Earrings
Pupils are only allowed one pierced gold/silver stud earring in each ear and earrings cannot be worn during P.E. If your child is unable to remove their earrings they will not be allowed to participate in P.E. – we do not allow pupils to cover earrings with plasters. We recommend that children do not wear their earrings on the day they have P.E. or Games. Parents must, therefore, decide at the beginning of the summer holidays if you wish to have your child’s ears pierced. This will give enough time for the ears to heal and for the removal of earrings.
PE/Games
On the days children do PE or games, they must come in wearing their PE kit and remain in it all day. The PE kit is plain black shorts, a house-coloured T-shirt, and trainers. When the weather is cold, the Winter PE kit includes black tracksuit bottoms and their school jumper, sweater, or cardigan. Shorts can be worn underneath.
The days are as follows:-
Reception Artists - Friday (from October half term) Reception Musicians - Thursday (from October half term) Year 1J & 1QV – Monday and Tuesday
Year 2E & 2S – Monday and Thursday
Year 3C & 3A – Wednesday and Thursday
Year 4 - Tuesday and Wednesday Year 5F - Monday and Thursday Year 5P - Tuesday and Thursday Year 6C- Monday and Friday Year 6F - Wednesday and Friday
Please note that wearing a PE uniform on PE/games days saves time from changing in and out of kit, allowing more time for sports, games, and PE.
