Head of School Welcome
Welcome to Haslemere Primary School!
As Head of School, I am incredibly proud to lead our school alongside our highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and support staff. Whether your child is starting out in our Pre-School and integrated Nursery or moving through our primary phase, we are committed to providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every pupil can flourish.
Our school community continues to go from strength to strength. Following our June 2025 Ofsted inspection, inspectors recognised our shared high ambitions, awarding us Good judgements across our provision alongside an Outstanding rating for Personal Development. Inspectors highlighted that high expectations are in place for all pupils, creating an environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.
Aiming for the Stars
We want all of our pupils to leave Haslemere as confident, polite, and independent young people who possess the skills, values, and enthusiasm needed to succeed in whatever career path they choose. We continually inspire our pupils to ‘Aim for the Stars’ in everything they do.
· Academic Ambition & Rich Learning: We deliver a literacy-rich, text-centred curriculum with reading placed as a top priority. Coupled with strong results in national mathematics assessments and exciting hands-on enrichment, from history activity days to museum visits, our pupils build secure knowledge over time.
· A Strong Start in Early Years: In our Pre-School and Nursery, children gain an exceptional start to their learning journey, exploring language-rich environments that build early curiosity, numeracy, and vocabulary.
· Well-Being & Leadership: We support the whole child. Through tailored mental well-being support, pupil "Mental Health Champions," and leadership roles across the school, our children develop empathy, independence, and a strong respect for diversity.
Working in Partnership
We firmly believe that strong links between home and school are essential for a child’s success. Families warmly welcome the positive atmosphere and continuous improvements at Haslemere, and we remain dedicated to working closely with you to help your child achieve their full potential.
We are exceptionally proud of our children and all of their wonderful achievements! We hope our newsletters and website provide you with a window into school life. You are always welcome to arrange a visit; our pupils would be delighted to show you first-hand what makes Haslemere such a rewarding place to learn.
Warmest regards,
Miss Kay Ottley
Head of School
